Many of you participated in a digital camera class where we took pictures of the library. I strongly urge you to enter some of those pictures in the contest described here:
Picture Your Library: Fort Smith Public Library Centennial Art & Photo Contest
In celebration of our Centennial, the Library is having the Picture Your Library Art & Photo Contest, running for 100 days from May 1st - August 8th.
Amateur and professional artists and photographers are encouraged to Picture Your Library in the medium of your choice by entering this Centennial contest. The contest is open to photographers and artists in three divisions:
1) professional (any age) 2) amateur adult, and 3) amateur youth (ages 6 - 17). A grand prize of $100.00 will be awarded for both photography and artwork, with additional monetary prizes for 1st place winners in all divisions.
